The Bagobo Tagabawa, the Jangan or Klata, the Obo, the Matigsalug and the Ata-Manobo. There were pictures of  homes in miniature form. I was amazed of these miniature houses in how it was made. There were also pictures of old landmarks of Davao City. It features the Ateneo de Davao University(Jacinto campus). In the second floor of the building library section I saw a mannequin of Manuel L. Quezon signing something on the paper. There was also the list of former congressmen, representatives, and mayors of Davao City.  There were artifacts acquired from the japanese occupation like “THE BOMB” , “bottle medicines” and many more. There were also photos featuring the splender of the modern Davao City. Before I left the museum I saw a write-up of the origin of the word DABAWENYO. One came from daba-daba. Second came from dabu or davoh which means “beyond the high grounds”. Third it came from Datu Dabao, the manobo leader of an uprising in Linaw, Banawan, Agusan in the 1650′s. I felt very proud to be a DABAWENYO because of the rich culture of my CITY, DAVAO!!!!!
